friday feature: open-front trench

Episode II of our #fridayfeature.

What: Open-front Tencel trench coat from GAP

Why do I love it?: At first I was drawn to this colour being a gorgeous deep olive/emerald green, but as I tried it on - I knew it was a keeper. This open-front trench is perfect for those cool days when you don't really feel like wearing a knit pullover but it's still too early to wear just a tee. The perfect item as the seasons transition. 

It's easy to throw on over a midi dress or a tee & jeans. I've worn it with midi-heels, sneakers and boots. I can be worn all ways. It's best to wear the cuffs pushed up, hitting just below the elbow - that way all the fabric volume doesn't drown you. The only downsize is that it's dry-clean only but aside from that, it hasn't needed any ironing or steaming.
