friday feature: the sophie bag

Why do I love it?: When it comes to handbags, you'll always find me in the quality over quantity camp. I would much rather buy one handbag a year than 10 cheap handbags that fall apart after a few wears. I also believe that a quality handbag can completely elevate a look, regardless if you're wearing Old Navy jeans or a H&M tee.

When I first came across Berlin-based Agneel (via my very good friend Leonie from Noa Noir) I just had to know more about their bags. I was drawn to their clean lines and no fuss approach to the design process. The bags look like they could pair with pretty much any outfit in your wardrobe. All of their handbags are designed in Berlin and made in Turkey, from the highest quality materials & leathers.

I chose the Sophie shoulder bag in black calf-skin with silver hardware. It arrived in beautiful packaging with a dust bag for protection. The bag has quite a bit of weight to it and the lining is beautifully finished. It's quality all the way. Now I own (or have owned) a number of designer bags from Alexander Wang to Phillip Lim, Proenza Schouler to Rag & Bone - and I would say the quality and finishings are right up there with their modern contemporaries. Well worth the investment for a style that can be worn for many seasons.
