momiform #103
Most of my week is spent on the go. Whether it be making sure Lily gets to daycare on time or rushing to get to work, my day-to-day outfits need to be practical. I'm talking flats, comfortable pants & a cross body bag. Which is why this outfit is such a perfect one to have on repeat all week long, with some small modifications of course #repeatoutfitoffender.
1. Top: this drop-shoulder, loose fit striped tee was a super practical purchase. I remember buying it and thinking, do I really need another striped top? Yes.. yes you do. This boxy top hits the hip just at the right spot and looks best with high waist pants or jeans.
2. Jeans: I'm a jeans kinda girl. You'll find me in them usually 7 days a week. I used to be in the premium denim camp but lately things have changed. I found my $250+ pairs of jeans would barely last longer than a year. I'm trying a little experiment to see how well a $90 pair of jeans performs and will let you know how I go. These Just USA jeans are a great mid to high rise fit and I cuff them to make sure they hit above the ankle.
3. Cross body bags: they're the best because let's be real, who has spare hands to hold a bag when you're juggling coffee, some kind of carb and your kids backpack while making sure said kid doesn't run onto the street. Yeah not me. This Proenza Schouler PS11 was the investment that keeps giving.
4. Mules: this is where you can have some fun and elevate your look from casual to polished and chic. Go for a pair that's convertible (like my Mango ones) so you can wear them as both mules and slip-ons.
And that's that for episode #103 of the Momiform aka busy lady outfit.
